Opinions Matter!

A little about myself........I come from a very grass roots upbringing with a close knit family. Family gatherings and events was a normal occurrence. It was a small town where people were kind and helped friends and neighbours, but sheltered with some narrow views. I wasn't exposed to much of the world until I joined the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This career change led to much exposure to the surrounding world and a variety of cultures. This move expanded my views and, as I gained knowledge and experience, began feeding my opinions as I travelled much of the globe. I hope this very condensed synopsis of my life to date provides a rough background.
As a result of my experiences and knowledge gained while travelling and working, I began to develop opinions (keep in mind, my opinions are my own and I simply wish to share them). Should they spur discussions as a by-product, I welcome it so long as it is respectful and as factual as possible. There is nothing like a good debate about history, politics, religion, psychology and even some news, among many other topics. My wife accuses me of being too opinionated, but I feel this is a strength rather than a flaw. I am sure many people feel the same, but in my opinion, I feel this is good for creativity and innovation. No one can say vocal opinionated people are not confident!
I hope people will enjoy reading and sharing on this blog whilst maintaining respect, politeness and understanding that people's opinions matter and they are their own opinions.
Remember........A difference of opinion is not a challenge to convince the opposition that you are correct!
